Hello everyone, and welcome to The Official Melismatics March Newsletter…where you get the real scoop on all things Melismatic. No lies, hearsay, or gossip here!
First of all, we’d like to thank everyone in our hometown of Minneapolis who came out for our recent sold out MANIA! Release Show at The Ritz Theater. Check out photos and highlights of the night below.
This week we will be playing three shows at the largest US music event, SXSW in Austin, TX. We will be playing
Lamberts Thursday 3-15-12 at 10:00PM, Dirty Dog Friday 3-16-12 at noon, and MOLOTOV Friday 3-16-12 at 5:15PM.
In the wonderful world of television, we’ve had songs from our new album MANIA! featured on “Jersey Shore” three weeks in a row. Also, “Digging Deep” was recently featured on the ABC Family show customers essay “Jane By Design.”
MANIA! has been continuing to hit airwaves around the country and internationally. Most recently, the legendary DJ and “Mayor of the Sunset Strip” Rodney Bingenheimer has added several MANIA! tracks to his playlist on KROQ.
We are also very excited to announce the 10-year-anniversary re-release of our first album “Postmodern Rock.” This reissue will contain previously unreleased tracks and expanded liner notes. It will be available for pre-order soon, so stay tuned for details. We will be celebrating the re-release in our hometown of Minneapolis at The Amsterdam May 5th. We will be doing other shows nationally in support of the anniversary as well.

We recently celebrated the release of MANIA! in our hometown of Minneapolis, MN at The Ritz Theater. We had a fantastic time sharing the stage with great friends of ours and thanks to everyone who came out to support, the night sold out. We’ve got some pictures to share with those who weren’t able to be there. Jon Auer kicked off the night with a stellar acoustic set. Sick of Sarah threw down in supreme definition essays on marriage fashion, and DJ Jake Rudh spun in style between sets.
