Happy Holidaze from all of us here at Team Melismatics.  This is the dawning of a new year, and with it comes all kinds of happenings and shenanigans for The Melismatics.  As always, we are here to fill you college admission essays online in with all of the gory details.

We will be celebrating the end of 2012 and welcoming 2013 in our hometown of Minneapolis, MN New Years Eve at Crooked Pint with a very special event we have dubbed “Blue Monday NYE Dance Party.” This promises to be a unique experience with a killer line up featuring special guests Apollo Cobra (Minneapolis buzz band), Chrash (formerly Tripmaster Monkey from Rock Island, IL), and DJ Mike Minehart who will be spinning the best of classic alternative, post punk, new wave, and dance music.  We will be premiering some of our new songs at this show, and the first 25 people through the door will receive a free exclusive T shirt.  Get your advance tickets now HERE.

After a busy month of performing with our side projects and playing the annual Replacements Tribute at First Avenue in Minneapolis, we are back in full force working on our new record.  We are returning to Flowers Studio to work with Jon Auer of The Posies and Big Star to complete the album.  Release details coming soon.

We will be doing a live session for Daytrotter that will be released in conjunction with our new album.  Stay tuned for more info on this as well.
