Greetings from The Melismatics Tour Van (AKA Miss America), where it’s always 70 degrees with a 30% chance of something breaking down or exploding.  These are exciting times on Planet Melismatics indeed.  It is time to get those of you in our circle of trust up to speed with another action-packed edition of our Official Newsletter.
Firstly, we have just embarked on an East Coast Tour.  Check out the cities we will be hitting, and warn your friends in these metro areas that we are raving lunatics.  We will be playing an official CMJ showcase at The Rock Shop in Brooklyn, NY Saturday, cheap college essay writing October 20th at 9:30PM.  We’ll also be playing The Saint in Asbury Park Tuesday, October 23rd at 9:00PM;  this is the legendary venue that Bruce Springsteen cut his teeth in.  We fully expect to see him there wearing a hot new Melismatics tour T shirt.  In addition to playing tour dates, we have some hometown Minneapolis shows we are particularly psyched out of our minds about.
On Black Friday (Friday, November 23rd) we will be playing the classic album “Pleased To Meet Me” cover to cover at The Replacements Tribute at First Avenue in Minneapolis with special guest vocalists.  We’ll also be playing in full Melismatics form at Grain Belt Brewery for the People Serving People Benefit Friday, November 30th.  Finally, we’ll be closing out the year of 2012 by playing New Year’s Eve at The Crooked Pint.  This promises to be an extra special celebration fellow Twin Cities dwellers will not want to miss.
In other news, thanks to our loyal and dedicated supporters, we met and exceeded our Kickstarter goal and are now hard at work on a new album.  Contributors will be treated to sneak peak videos and behind the scenes posts on our Kickstarter page from time to time.
Pony Up!, a Melismatics-spawned side project that has found it’s way into all kinds of popular television shows like “Gossip Girl,” “Bad Girls Club,” “Jersey Shore” and made a viral splash with fan-posted videos will be doing a very rare live performance in our hometown of Minneapolis, MN at The 400 Bar Thursday, November 15th at 8:00PM.
