Hello there, and welcome to the latest edition of The Melismatics Official Newsletter!  We’ve been busy, so let’s dig in and buy latisse online.

First off, Ryan and Pony of The Melismatics have just released their debut single as a duo, “Low.”  It’s available on most digital music stores, and a music video is currently in the works.  A full-length album is also on the way that will feature guest appearances from musician friends we’ve made over the last 2 decades of touring.

In other news, Mark and Ryan just returned from their tour to Japan and Epcot Center playing in Soul Asylum.  We’ve got pictures below and a link to a short video of our experiences.  We hope you enjoy them!

We’ve also got some exciting shows coming up in the Twin Cities, including the annual Replacements Tribute at The Turf Club Black Friday, November 25th (that’s TONIGHT if you are reading this in “real time”).  We’ll be playing the top 15 Mats’ songs as picked by fans in a vote.  Check out our other shows below!

“All pop music should be this good”-Indy Rock Live (Indianapolis, IN)

“Twin Cities power-pop quartet, The Melismatics, have done it again…their catchy guitar licks and synth-driven melodies do anything but make us want to take our foot off the pedal or turn down the volume for that matter…grab a copy of Rising Tide and dance, dance, dance.”
–The Owl Mag

“Pulsating beats and catchy melodies abound on ‘Rising Tide,’ but it’s also clear that the Minneapolis-based quartet is looking to expand its horizons.”
–Illinois Entertainer (Chicago)

“Rising Tide’s sound is a sugary, but potent, kind of power pop that is energetically hopeful to a profound degree.”

–Philthy Mag (Philadelphia, PA)

“‘Rising Tide’ sounds like a break in the pattern as much as it does a breath of fresh air”

–The Pitch (Kansas City, MO)
