Hallå, god dag.
Spring has arrived (in its own weird way) here in the unpredictable-yet-beautiful Minnesnowta, and The Melismatics have lots of exciting news to drop on all y’all. Well, let’s get this started…
First off, our forthcoming album “Rising Tide” is slated for world-wide release on! Once again, we’ve had the opportunity to work with some amazing people in the creation of this LP, and we’d like to thank Jon Auer (of The Posies, Big Star), John Fields, Chris Athens, Peter Anderson, and all of our Kickstarter contributors for making this happen!
As always, check our tour dates below to see when we’ll be at a venue near you. In addition to our club dates, we also will be playing some festivals and other outdoor events. We return to the world’s largest music festival, Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI as headliners on the K-Nation Entertainment/Cascio Interstate Music Stage Thursday, June 27th at 9:00PM. We will also be playing UMS Festival in Denver, CO Saturday, July 20th at Skylark Lounge. In Stillwater, MN we will be playing Rock The Vine, a benefit for Rock The Cause Saturday, June 8th. Get your tickets for Rock The Vine here!
Speaking of Rock The Cause, The Melismatics’ song “Digging Deep” (from The Acid Test) has recently become the theme song for the weekly radio show “Cause Rock” on Cities 97, a major commercial radio station in the Twin Cities, MN. The program can be streamed from anywhere Sundays 10PM CST.
Lastly, we’ve been filling our time in the tour van making some new videos that are now up on Youtube. Check it out to see what happens to your brain on tour.
