As always, it’s been a whirlwind of activity for The Melismatics. In the last month we were featured artists on the Sonicbids home page, the international video promotion campaign for “Your Love Is A Poison” began with Hip Video Promo, we started working on a collaboration wtih Tony Ortiz of The Monroes of all-new material (release details coming soon!), and Pony Up (Pony’s dance-pop collaboration with Ryan and Drew Lerdal) had a song featured on “Gossip Girl.” If you missed the show when it aired WATCH THE FULL EPISODE HERE;
for those with short attention spans, watch only the portion of the show with Pony Up’s song “Kick You To The Curb” on Youtube.
Another new Pony Up song, “Feel It” was JUST featured on Oxygen Network’s “Bad Girl Club” Episode 601.
Another recent highlight was when Ryan and Pony played college scholarship essay the Replacements’ album “Tim” note-for-note with an all-star cast of musicians in the annual Replacements Tribute at the legendary First Avenue in Minneapolis. (Watch Ryan playing the Mats’ classic “Here Comes A Regular” with Justin Pierre of Motion City Soundtrack!)

“Your Love Is A Poison” promotion begins, and we’ve posted a brand-new “making of” video! |
First of all, we’ve just posted a new video on Youtube for the technically curious that shows the recording process of recording “Your Love Is A Poison” starting from tracking the demo at home all the way to working with Ed Ackerson at Flowers Studio! Check this new “making of” video out here.The official promotional campaign for our latest music video, “Your Love Is A Poison” has begun, and we are excited to be working with Hip Video Promo once again. It’s off to a great start! In the first week of the video’s release, it has been picked up by Power Play TV, Much Music, California Music Channel, Video Hits, TVGuide.com, and Style-City Music Presents. It will also be seen in retail stores like Macys, Ikea, Rentway, and Goltshalcks. This is just the beginning of the campaign, so we look forward to more and more channels and music outlets picking up on the new video. We’ll keep you posted!
